Driving sustainable change through carbon-smart logistics

Our Sustainability Journey

Find out more about Baxter Freight and how we’re driving our own sustainability journey

Baxter Freight our sustainability

Driven by passion

At Baxter Freight, we are striving to embed sustainable logistics into our brand. For over two years, we’ve been embedding sustainable practices into the heart of our business. Through dedicated research, collaboration with industry partners and a willingness to challenge the status quo, we’re continuously evolving our approach to responsible logistics and a responsible business.

Our business aim is to help businesses simplify and optimise complex supply chains, whilst minimising environmental impact. Not just for our clients, but within our own operation as well. This journey is ongoing, and we’re proud to be making meaningful progress as we strive to drive long-term change within the freight and logistics industry.

Our Sustainability Values

Our approach to sustainability is guided by core values:

Integrity: We act with integrity by ensuring our practices and solutions are ethical, responsible and respectful of people and the planet.

Accountability: We embrace accountability, measuring and reporting on both our own impact and the results we achieve for our customers.

Innovation: We drive innovation by developing forward-thinking, practical sustainability solutions that create meaningful progress.

Transparency: We champion transparency, openly sharing our processes, progress and learnings so that our customers (and ourselves) can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Powerful partnerships

To ensure our SFN products are credible and impactful, we’ve partnered with industry leaders to support effective decarbonisation in logistics.

We follow the GLEC Framework developed by the Smart Freight Centre, which provides a globally recognised methodology for calculating logistics emissions across all freight modes – road, rail, sea, and air. Our reporting partner, Shipzero, enhances this by delivering high-quality, transparent emissions data that meets international standards.

We also collaborate with trusted suppliers, which gives us access to a wide network of low-carbon fuel options.

For reduction and removal, our chain of custody model is independently verified by Normec Verifavia, accredited under ISO 17029. Their third-party audits ensure transparency, prevent double accounting, and provide businesses with a reliable, verifiable path to emissions reduction.

SUSTAINABLE FREIGHT NETWORK

Developed by Baxter Freight, the Sustainable Freight Network is a means of making meaningful progress toward carbon-smart logistics.

Lets talk about Greenwashing

Greenwashing is when companies claim to be environmentally responsible without taking real, measurable action, often relying on vague promises or generic carbon certificates that don’t actually cut emissions. In those cases, there is no true net carbon benefit.

That is not us. Our Carbon Reduction Certificates are backed by direct investment into sustainable infrastructure within the logistics industry. Every project is measurable, traceable, and delivers real reductions.

We hold ourselves to the same standard. From emissions reports to the lessons we learn along the way, we share our progress openly – no vague claims, no empty gestures, no greenwashing,  just genuine impact.
