Putting the wheels in motion: how logistics makes it happen

Grace Reddish

Getting ready for the open road.

You might clean yours everyday, admire its looks, use it with friends and even given it a name…

Who can deny the love we have for our cars!

Many of us get to enjoy the finished product – but have you ever thought about all the components that go into creating your car?

From moving goods for this years Le Mans 24-hour race, to prototype models to test aerodynamics – it’s fair to say we keep it varied!

Collaborating with manufacturers across the globe means that we’re able to help create the final product.

Accelerating the process

Since 2014, we’ve been working with Isuzu to distribute car and truck parts.

The Japanese brand, founded in 1934, specialises in diesel engines and commercial vehicles.

Still to present day, Isuzu’s high reputation is maintained, continuing to win awards for their designs.

Our Accelerate Solution maintains that Isuzu’s goods make their way on time, ensuring the manufacturing process isn’t altered, and the final product is ready without delay.

Using dedicated vehicles and optimised routes, we collect Isuzu’s goods from Aartselaar, Belgium and deliver to West Bromwich, UK within 2 days.

“Isuzu UK have been working with Baxter Freight for many years and there have been many changes over the recent years like Brexit, HMRC changing over on to CDS, and our own internal changes. Despite this, we have continued to build a great relationship with Baxter Freight, who have been committed to ensuring all our needs were met during these challenging times. We now work closely with Ollie, who is dedicated to ensuring all our goods are collected and delivered in a timely manner.”

– Karen Sohal, Imports Assistant

Taking to the seas

For 5 years we’ve been working with Alps Alpine moving goods like car speakers, stereos and sat-navs.

Alps Alpine use our Navigate Solution to arrange the clearance for all of their overseas stock into bond. Navigate also oversees the release of their containers and delivery into warehouses.

Through the expertise of our Navigate Team, we ensure the goods make their way to the final customers, including Land Rover, Bentley and Volvo – meaning the high-quality standards you know and expect can continue.

Our Navigate Team also helped move Roadgrip products all the way to Panama for the upcoming Formula One racing circuit!

The family business is renowned for its craftsmanship, and specialises in road marking, line painting and grooving across sectors ranging from sports to retail.

We helped distribute heavy duty machinery and supporting equipment to the site in Panama to create chevrons up and down the track…so keep your eyes peeled – you might catch a glimpse of your favourite driver on the brand-new track soon!

Creating a car includes a variety of components and complexities, with each supply chain having to adapt to specific needs.

Logistics is an integral part of the puzzle, helping processes become more streamlined. We’re committed to building relationships, so that we can optimise your supply chain to its full advantage – you could say it’s our favourite part of the puzzle!
