New Haulier Requirements: GVMS

Kristina Causer

Are you up top date with new border changes?

GVMS: What do hauliers need to know?

The Goods Vehicle Movement System (GVMS) is a service that allows hauliers to move goods in and out of the UK.

Effective from January 1, 2022, any haulier or supplier, using their own vehicles to take goods from or bring goods into the UK, must be registered with GVMS.

In addition to GVMS, there are additional requirements that you and your drivers need to do, both before and during transit, including creating a Goods Movement Reference (GMR) number.

Click below for a view our step by step guides to using GVMS and how to create a GMR number:

Important:

👉 Without GVMS registration or a GMR number, you won’t be able to move goods in or out of the UK

👉 Any missing paperwork can cause your driver to be delayed or refused entry

👉 All suppliers and partners must be GVMS registered in order to work with us
