Sigma needed expert logistical advice and help to collect shop fittings from the manufacturer in Turkey and ship them all over Europe. Utilising the partnership with expert customs clearance agents Gerlach, we moved and cleared their items through Europe and into both France and Holland, all DDP with Limited Fiscal Representation.
The work we originally undertook for Sigma was a success, hitting all of the agreed targets. This trusted Sigma to choose Baxter Freight for more European work. The next phase of our contract included a lot of late notice orders which did involve a mammoth co-ordination from the Baxter Freight team.
Our Consolidate, Aviate and Accelerate teams were all involved in moving freight from China to the Netherlands and into the UK to fit out hundreds of Primark stores, all at very late notice.
Utilising our network
With the progression of the relationship with Sigma and the success they saw with having us as a partner, it enabled us to assist with the kitting of over 250 Morrisons stores up and down the UK.
Using the network of suppliers and knowledge of our Accelerate Team, we were able to deliver massive cost savings by consolidating pallets, using dedicated vans and various hubs to organise a very cost effective way of moving the shop fittings.
All in all, the work between us and Sigma continues to be a massive success which allows us to be an extension of their business and allow them to deliver on promises to retailers all while protecting their brand.
