It’s International Leadership Week

Amy Clifford

Collaborate for success.

This week is International Leadership Week and it’s an opportunity for the world to come together in celebration of successful leadership.

This year’s theme of collaborate for success really resonates with us as it recognises that effective leadership goes beyond individual accomplishments and focuses on bringing people together to work towards a common purpose.

What does collaboration mean to us?

Collaboration is part of our DNA. It runs through all of our core values: We are CreativeWe are Authentic, We Own It and in particular, We are Better Together which is the collaborative way we work together as a team, with our customers, and with our network of suppliers.

To us, collaborating for success means fostering a culture of trust, open communication, and mutual respect. It encourages leaders to actively listen to others, value their input, and create an inclusive environment where everyone’s voice is heard and valued. It also promotes sharing knowledge, resources, and ideas to foster innovation and drive continuous improvement.

How are we getting involved?

Everyone can help raise awareness and promote the importance of effective leadership by highlighting the significance of leadership skills.

As part of our Learning & Growth Academy, we’ll be hosting a variety of sessions throughout the week for all levels focusing on developing collaborative leadership, to help establish improved collaboration within our teams.

It’s International Leadership Week and it’s our time to recognise that true success is born from collaboration and working together. Throughout the week, I’ll be hosting events, and we’ll immerse ourselves in learning the power of collaboration and teamwork.

The Team Baxter Learning & Growth Academy, led by Charlie, is our internal training programme that not only helps to learn new skills but promotes a growth mindset that paves the way for everyone at Baxter Freight to grow and succeed in their role.
