Navigate Specialist
How does working for a rapidly growing business with a vibrant work culture, where you feel invested in and supported, sound? We have the role for you! As a Navigate Specialist, you can enjoy the stability of a career in logistics while focusing on your career development and personal growth, supported by a team that values work–life balance and is rooting for your success.

The impact you will have
You’ll be immersed in a problem-solving and dynamic environment where every day you will organise and arrange sea freight shipments while providing the highest quality service.
As a Navigate Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day sea operations run efficiently and in accordance with supplier and client agreements. You will handle import, export, and cross-trade sea freight shipments, liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, and both internal and external customers. By using your customer service skills, you will manage and resolve customer issues, tracking and tracing freight through to its final destination.
A typical day
- Managing sea freight operations from quotation through to final delivery, constantly quoting and booking with hauliers, shipping lines, and agents.
- Handling all documentation for both import and export customs, liaising with our internal customs team and external brokers/agents, and keeping track of clearances to arrange onward transportation.
- Managing shipments covered by letters of credit and issuing certificates of origin when required.
- Maintaining communication and control throughout all phases of the sea freight operations process, ensuring information is shared with colleagues and third parties so that deadlines are met.
- Developing relationships with shipping lines and overseas agents to ensure our customers’ expectations are fulfilled.
- Ensuring documents and clearance instructions are available.
- Updating account managers with the status of shipments and dealing with enquiries.
- Completing general freight administration.

Is this role for you?
- Are you experienced in Freight Forwarding, specifically in import and export ocean freight operations, with hands-on operational experience, including end-to-end management?
- Can you demonstrate strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify competitive shipping rates and source effective logistical solutions?
- You will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and can manage and control multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Are you someone who thrives working under pressure, able to meet tight deadlines and make confident decisions when needed?
- Are you someone who likes to find solutions when situations occur, can think on your feet with the ability to work independently?
- Are you someone who strives to get the best levels of service to your customers and makes sure they are professional and provide timely updates?
- Do you have an understanding of key freight documentation requirements? Including customs, experience with Letter of Credit and certificates of Origin, this would be advantageous, not essential.
