As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of escalation in providing technical assistance to all employees. As a logical problem solver, you will use your skills to ensure the smooth-running of everyday across all departments. Your IT experience in handling Microsoft Windows Server and Office 365 will be fundamental in maintaining Baxter Freight’s IT Hardware, Software and Services.
A Typical Day
Being the first point of contact for all IT issues that come through our internal ticketing system, this will be a broad range of issues and a range of timescales.
Maintaining our ITSM system.
Providing practical help and assistance via phone, email, remote access or desk side, to then escalate when needed to your IT Service Manager/third party providers.
On-board/off-boarding employees as required from an IT perspective.
Managing hardware loan stock, ensuring laptops are always available when needed throughout the business.
Ensuring Anti-Virus software is maintained and up to date.
Is This Role For You?
You have experience working in a 2nd line IT support role.
You are driven to find solutions and problem solve.
You are experienced in Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint& Windows 10 / 11.
You have an understanding of basic networking principles including DNS & DHCP.
You possess experience in ITSM systems/solutions.
You have awareness of ITIL Foundations.
You have the ability to communicate with non-technical colleagues.
You have a basic understanding of Cyber Security.
