Join our fast-growing marketing team in a new role focusing on employer branding, supporting the HR requirement to bring our culture, people and recruitment focus to life across social media and other on/offline platforms. It’s essential that you bring a holistic view of marketing into this role, ensuring campaigns are run with structure and a focus on objectives. Understanding current trends in the employment marketplace and innovative ways to communicate is key to success in this role.

We’re looking for someone who has recently graduated from either an undergraduate or postgraduate Marketing degree, with relevant experience.

About the role

 You’ll bring an employee and people focus to our marketing, providing communications for both current and future employees. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with marketing, internal comms and HR to develop and deliver the marketing strategy for how Nottinghamshire’s people and wider community perceive our brand. A big focus of the job will be bringing brand awareness to digital platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, with multimedia content creation at the heart of the role. You’ll demonstrate finesse and creativity to manage and deliver on content plans to build our employer brand.


  • Brand strategy, including shaping brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short and long term
  • With brand identity at the heart of the role, you’ll take our brand vision and ensure it’s communicated effectively to grow brand reputation and kudos in our community and beyond
  • Ensure and embed the importance of customer focus, giving a great experience to all stakeholders involved
  • Understand a variety of techniques and tools to elevate and position the brand, implementing the strategy across digital and offline marketing channels
  • Undertaking market research and stay in tune with all current marketing and communication trends to inform the campaigns and planning for the year
  • Collaborating effectively with the team around you to set objectives and metrics for each campaign
  • Planning, organisation and consistency is fundamental, and you’ll be required to work with Teams/Trello and a CRM system
  • Working on targeted internal and external communication strategies, tactics and campaigns
  • Focused on building relationships with people in the business to share the Baxter experience with prospective employees
  • Supporting content creation for internal communications, bringing the brand to life in an engaging way for current employees
  • Storyboarding, scripting, filming and editing videos for a range of channels including longer content for website and snappy content for Instagram/TikTok
  • Proficient in English, you’ll write copy for a range of channels from social media to website and blogs, job descriptions, press releases and more
  • Managing a budget for communication campaigns

Knowledge & skills

  • 2:1 undergraduate degree in Marketing or a related discipline, OR a relevant post-graduate marketing degree, and placement or related experience
  • Creative, with a youthful approach, and an eye for detail for content creation
  • A keen innovator, who is ready to be empowered with responsibility for recruitment and community marketing
  • People-focused, great at communicating, and keen to establish key relationships with organisations across Nottingham and the wider area
  • A life-long learner who is eager to learn and grow into this role
  • Digitally innovative, understanding the ever-changing nature of marketing platforms
  • Organised and can manage your own time and projects, support the work of others, and see the bigger picture of your work and role
